Former President Donald Trump, in an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News‘ “Sunday Morning Futures,” outlined his strategy to bring about peace in Ukraine within a mere 24 hours of taking back the presidency.

Trump expressed confidence in his ability to negotiate a deal by leveraging his personal relationships with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin. He further criticized President Biden, asserting that Biden lacks the capability to effectively engage with world leaders.

Trump emphasized the intelligence and toughness of global leaders like France’s Macron and Russia’s Putin, describing them as formidable and at the height of their powers.

In contrast, he expressed concerns about President Biden’s understanding of the current global landscape, deeming it the most perilous period in American history.

Bartiromo sought clarification on Trump’s claim that he could end the Ukrainian conflict within 24 hours, prompting him to elucidate his approach.

Trump pointed out his familiarity with Zelenskyy, highlighting the latter’s integrity by recalling Zelenskyy’s affirmation of their “perfect phone call.”

Trump then outlined his intended course of action, emphasizing his extensive knowledge of both Zelenskyy and Putin. Trump’s plan involved delivering a firm message to Zelenskyy, urging him to prioritize making a deal with Russia.

Trump would inform Putin that failure to reach an agreement would result in substantial consequences, including significant support for Ukraine. Confident in his ability to navigate the situation, Trump asserted that the deal would be concluded swiftly, within a single day.

Trump’s stance on the Ukrainian conflict aligns with the skepticism expressed by several Republican candidates contending for the 2024 presidential nomination.
