A tragic incident shocked Hollywood as Michael Latt, a well-known figure in the industry, was killed in his home by a woman who entered without permission and shot him.

The police believe it was a random act of violence.The authorities were alerted about the shooting at Latt’s residence and found him critically injured.

He later passed away in the hospital due to the gunshot wound.The suspect, Jameelah Elena Michl, was arrested on suspicion of murder.

She was living in her vehicle nearby and had no known connection to Latt.Latt, aged 33, was a marketing consultant and a strong advocate for social justice, particularly in Hollywood.

He was known for supporting Black creatives and underrepresented voices in the entertainment industry through his company, Lead With Love.

He was described by colleagues and friends as a kind and consistent advocate for change. Latt’s family, friends, and colleagues mourned his loss and celebrated his legacy of using storytelling and art to create lasting impact for social justice causes.

Latt’s journey in using his skills for social good began after he graduated from Chapman University. He redirected his career towards activism for social justice causes, working with organizations and leading campaigns to empower storytellers of color and fight against injustice.
