According to the Sunday Times Rich List, Ed Sheeran, Adele, and Harry Styles are among the wealthiest individuals under the age of 35 in the UK.
Their fortunes exceed £150 million, achieved through their remarkable achievements in both the UK and the US music industry. However, they fall short of the qualification for the main Rich List, which requires a minimum wealth of £350 million.
Noteworthy figures on the main list include UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife Akshata Murthy, although their wealth has experienced a decline.
Among those under 35, Ed Sheeran, aged 32, claims the seventh position in terms of wealth with a staggering fortune of £300 million, largely attributed to the remarkable success of his sixth album, “Subtract.” Adele, now 35, secures the ninth spot with a wealth of £165 million.
Hailing from London, the renowned singer has sold over 100 million albums and recently extended her opulent Las Vegas residency, reportedly earning £500,000 per show.
Harry Styles, at 29 years old, earned the title of having the highest-selling UK album last year with “Harry’s House” and currently embarks on a tour across the UK. His wealth is estimated at £150 million.
At the top of the main Rich List reigns Gopi Hinduja and his family, proprietors of a vast conglomerate of businesses worldwide, boasting a combined wealth of £35 billion—an increase from £28.4 billion in the previous year.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe, known for his pursuit to acquire Manchester United, his cherished childhood football team, returns to the top 10 after two years. His current net worth stands at £29.6 billion, amassed through his involvement in Ineos, a prominent chemicals and raw materials enterprise.

While the Rich List primarily comprises the ultra-wealthy, this year marks a decline in the number of billionaires for the first time since the global financial crisis of 2008, when the banking industry faced a near-collapse.
The list now features 171 billionaires, a decrease of six from the previous year. Factors such as the economic impact of the Covid pandemic, high inflation, and rising interest rates—resulting in increased borrowing costs—have adversely affected the fortunes of the affluent.
The majority of their wealth can be attributed to Ms. Murthy, who holds a substantial stake in her father’s IT company, Infosys. King Charles III, the newly-crowned monarch, occupies a relatively modest rank of 263 on the Rich List with a fortune of £600 million.
Nevertheless, he surpasses the late Queen Elizabeth II, whose net worth was valued at £320 million according to last year’s list.
Notably richer is JK Rowling, the esteemed author of the Harry Potter books, with a wealth of £875 million—an increase of £25 million from the previous year.
Furthermore, there are two Harry Potter film stars on the list of the richest individuals under 35. Daniel Radcliffe, aged 33, possesses a wealth of £92 million, while Emma Watson, also 33, enjoys an estimated fortune of £60 million.
